Shelley's Pike Inn

In the newly resurrected Shelley’s Pike Inn, that had been flooded and caught on fire in September 2004, Rene donated her services to help the brand new fifties style diner welcome its faithful customers back. This is one of many mini murals depicting a fifties theme. In this mural, classic cars with license plates stating the names of the restaurant owners and family and even a motorcycle for their son, are lined up outside the front of the building. Also seen in the diner are murals of a leather T-bird jacket in the “Guys” room and a poodle skirt with rhinestones in the “Dolls” room. Elvis can be seen leaving the building in between the restrooms complete with a jewel-studded cape. Rene also lent her decorating talents to complete the look.
